Description

Trust, respect, and love. Three little words—that’s all. But these words are powerful, and if we ignore any one of them, then three other little words take their place: jealousy, insecurity, and heartbreak.

Schoolteacher Gemma Hughes is an ordinary woman living an ordinary life. Disorganised and clumsy, she soon finds herself in the capable hands of the beautiful Dr Maria Moran. Everything goes wonderfully until Gemma starts doubting Maria’s intentions and begins listening to the wrong people.

But has Maria something to hide, or is it a case of swapping trust for insecurity, respect for jealousy and finishing with a world of heartbreak and deceit? Can Gemma stop her actions before it’s too late? Or will she ruin the best thing to happen in her life?

Given her track record, anything is possible …

Gemma meets the lovely Dr Maria after she hurts her shoulder. There is an instant connection between them but they decide to take things slowly. In the mean time someone is doing their best to break them up before they have barely begun. Will the villain succeed? Can love conquer all and why is Gemma so klutzy?

After three days and three books that surprised me by hitting my panic buttons I needed a book I didn’t need to fear, a fun read with humor and romance. I turned to Ylva and Ms. Smith. I found just what my heavy heart needed. I thoroughly enjoyed this light hearted romp. Gemma tells the story like she is talking to a long time friend. She is a tad, or maybe more….unsure and insecure but no matter how bad it gets she doesn’t take herself too seriously. Its charming and really funny at times (especially the ending). Watching these women grow individually and together is a joy and their tale was the perfect balm. OH, and the sexy bits….oh yeah!!!!!
