Henriette – :
A gentle, slow-burn journey to True North and true love
I was in the mood for a great romance and Weimann totally delivered! For both characters it‘s quite a journey. It starts when Emily‘s BFF makes her visit – reluctantly – a boutique sex-shop „The Shag“ (LOL). Among quite a few hilarious observations she meets Tanit, the owner, and gentle sparks can be seen illuminating the shop.
I loved how Weimann sets a gentle pace for this tender romance and lets it evolve slowly. Just what my heart needed!
Both characters have their own history and issues which raise their ugly heads – it was lovely to see how Emily and Tanit, both good people, support each other. The addition of a Devil-wears-Prada vibe to Emily‘s work situation and its resolution kept me cheering all along. Yes! Same with Tanit and her family.
I loved Weimann‘s debut Heart‘s Surrender which won a Goldie for Erotica. Finding True North shows the versatility of Weimann in giving us a gentle romance of two women looking for their True North. The mix of hilarious remarks and scenes with serious topics was well done.
Now I need to know more about Casey and of course Mia – I am sure Springfield has more romance to offer.
Highly recommended.
I received an ARC. The review is left voluntarily.
