Ameliah Faith – :
You Have to Love Jae….
Jae tells the sweetest love stories. I can always count on her for a light hearted, feel good escape and it is one of the things I admire about her most.
Damage control is about Grace, a big name actress, who becomes involved in a scandal at the worst time in her career. Having been her mother’s puppet for far too long, she at long last takes control of her life. She starts to live for her with a little help from her BFF Jill and her publicist Lauren.
I just can not say enough good things about this book. Its beautifully written, loving, tender, maddening at times and funny at others. There is a perfect blend of angst and desire between Grace and Lauren. They both grow as individuals along the way and the ending could not have been any better!!!!
This is the second in Jae’s Hollywood Series. I loved Departure from the Script every bit as much. Don’t quote my but I’ve heard whispers of a third book. I really hope its true and soon!!

I enjoyed this book because it was a true Jae-escape. It was a quick read, for me at least. I loved watching the sparks, wanted to slap Grace’s mother, cheered for Jill and I have cabin envy too! The other thing that I enjoyed was the way that Jae’s other work, Shaken To The Core, was brought into the plot. It was a neat little surprise.
I thought the characters were fleshed out very well, right down to Lauren’s ‘tell’ of her exhaustion. Little details like that add layers that I appreciate. While the setting, particularly the cabin, are always exactly what’s needed, it never over-shadows the characters or their issues. Everything in balance. This was a great book!

Fabulous continuation of Jae’s Hollywood series, with some familiar characters. I love seeing secondary characters getting their stories told. The tension and trials Grace and Lauren go through keep the drama high right to the end – this was a big positive. I was kept guessing – would they make it? The mark of a good romance, I think. Well written as always, and an interesting colourful story with well-rounded characters. On to the next one!
