Description

What if your one ambition is to kiss the girl who can’t be kissed? A Mafia lesbian BDSM romance about desiring the things you can never have.

Gracie Lynch has no job, no home, no money, and a mentally ill younger brother to keep safe. All she has left is her fierce will to survive…and a strange, lucrative offer from a mysterious woman for exclusive rights to Gracie’s body.

Icy Mafia lawyer Evelyn Voss wants her new toy to feel pleasures she’s never imagined. To live out her fantasies. And to never, ever ask what’s behind the mask that Evelyn always wears.

The one thing Evelyn doesn’t ask for is her heart. But that’s the one thing Gracie isn’t sure she can keep.

I experienced this book in different phases—some parts resonated more with me, others a bit less. At the beginning, I sometimes found myself searching for whose perspective the story was written from. Once I understood the structure, the reading flow became much smoother. Both the beginning and the ending felt somewhat abrupt: why a certain character is chosen at the start and, in the end, which steps are taken and why, occasionally left me with open questions.

What I did appreciate greatly was the portrayal of connection, the struggle with oneself, and the meaning another person can have in your life. These elements were described beautifully and added an emotional depth to the story. The intimacy between the characters felt very fitting, enriching their relationship and giving the narrative a deeper layer.

I voluntarily wrote this review after receiving a copy of the book.

This was an ok book but I found it to be a bit confusing at times
