Betty Harmon – :
The Complete Scissor Link Series by Georgette Kaplan is exactly what the title says. The novel is a combination of Scissor Link, and Face It, the two books in the ‘Scissor Link’ series. This is very convenient and lucky for all Georgette Kaplan fans.
Both of these books are definitely worth reading. They showcase the irreverent, snarky, and witty writing style of the author. They are both beautiful romances too. The books have crossover characters so some of the folks you meet in the first novel will show up in the second one as well. All of the characters are well-developed, and the main characters in each book are easy to fall in love with. The stories are funny and romantic with a thread of angst just to add zest to the tales. There are also some steamy love scenes to add even more spice to the stories.
I had fun reading these novels by Ms. Kaplan. If you haven’t read these novels yet, or it’s been a while since you did, I suggest you get this novel and enjoy them both together.
I received an ARC from Ylva Publishing for an honest review.

I read this for the I Heart Sapphic 2025 Reading Challenge for the prompt Hot for Boss.
Oh look. Another author I will be watching closely. This reading challenge is cursed. I’m going to be so broke.
Quick Thoughts:
– An age gap and a boss/employee romance. Of course I picked this up
– I laughed out loud at Wendy calling her friend to say how damn gay she was after seeing Janet
– Loved how nerdy everyone is in this book
– The pacing of the story felt a little disjointed but it was still fun
– Did I see the ending twist coming? No. Was I surprised by it? No. Did I really enjoy it? Hell yes
– The phone call with Roberta felt incomplete and a bit out of place from the story. We only got Wendy’s POV and no resolution or explanation when the story went back to Janet
– I loved how in this book the protagonists are exploring their intimacy dynamics together. I would have liked to have seen more of that
– The main reason this isn’t a five star read for me is that I am not a fan of books that end with the couple getting together and not getting to see them navigating their life. We get a glimpse of it but it wasn’t enough of a payoff for me
– I am so bummed I waited so long to listen to a book read by Anastasia Watley. This is the third book by her I’ve listened to and she’s just marvelous with a unique style that brings a fun feeling to the book she narrates. She’s absolutely on my list of people I will pick up a book just because she narrates it
Overall I’m glad I picked up this book. There were some problems with it but I still enjoyed the story and it solidified my love of Anastasia Watley’s voice. The audiobook is absolutely worth picking up but if you just want the regular book, I’d suggest waiting for a sale.
