Where are the lesbians?

Snow. Unwrapping presents. Plenty of food and smiling cheer. Typical images we are bombarded with at this time of the year, right? In stores, in magazines, on our movie and television screens. You practically can’t escape it. And yet, where in this holiday media onslaught are all the smart, sexy, lesbians?

I don’t know about you, but that’s part of my holiday season.

Make it part of yours too, and help out a good cause at the same time: click here for Unwrap These Presents, a new Ylva anthology featuring a whopping twenty-three stories about real lesbians finding the meaning of love, romance, and joy during the holidays.

Unwrap These Presents features stories by Ylva authors Andi Marquette, Ashley Stevens, Catherine Lane, Cheri Crystal, Cindy Rizzo, Clare Lydon, Devin Sumarno, Erzabet Bishop, Eve Francis, Fletcher DeLancey, Jae, Jean Copeland, Joan Arling, Jove Belle, L.T. Smith, Lee Lynch, Lois Cloarec Hart, Nikki Busch, Patricia Penn, R.G. Emanuelle, S. M. Harding, T.M. Croke and Wendy Temple.

All profits from this publication will be divided equally between the Ali Forney Center in New York City and the U.K.’s Albert Kennedy Trust, both which assist homeless LGBTQ youth. And because we don’t want these organizations to wait too  long we already donated $500 USD to the Albert Kennedy Trust last week and will donate another $500 USD to the Ali Forney Center this December.

We at Ylva find it hard to stomach that LGBTQ youth make up forty percent of all homeless youth in the United States, according to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Policy Institute. A majority of these youth report that they are homeless due to abuse and rejection by their families for their sexual orientation or gender identity.

So buy your copy of Unwrap These Presents today. You’ll not only brighten our day and yours but help young LGBTQ folks in need of a brighter day as well.
