Description

A female neurosurgeon and an ER nurse embark on a fake relationship in this lesbian fake-relationship romance.

Top neurosurgeon Samantha Thomson needs to get married fast and is tightlipped as to why. And with over $200,000 on offer to tie the knot, no questions asked, cash-strapped ER nurse Hayden Pérez isn’t about to demand answers.

The deal is only for a year of marriage, but Hayden’s going into it knowing it will be a nightmare. Sam is complicated, rude, kind of cold, and someone Hayden barely tolerates at work, let alone wants to marry. The hardest part is that Hayden has to convince everyone around them that they’re madly in love and that racing down the aisle together is all they’ve ever wanted. What could possibly go wrong?

    :

I loved this book when I read it just after it was published, it’s a very well written variation of an older theme. It’s funny, sad, heartbreaking and happy. Just wonderful.

I really enjoyed the narration. I’m very glad that Ylva started producing audiobooks with Tantor audio and that they also use other voices (at least this one) than the same narrators who narrate 90% of the lesfic audio book. I’d like more books like this – a great, well-written story with a storyteller enhancing instead of diminishing it.

Excellent audiobook. The story is fabulous– the characters are well developed and the pacing is nice. So many lesfic audiobooks have such awful narration that it ruins the story for me. This one was really good.

I absolutely loved this book. I bought it on audible, following a recommendation from a reviewer I liked….
The book is totally engaging and brilliantly written; funny, heartwarming, sad and passionate. The range of characters is also great. The story works well and there is a well constructed balance between the different parts of the plot…. it works.
The reader here is excellent, she seems fully engaged and actually performs rather than just reads. It enhances the experience. Excellent all round!!
