Book Two in the Portland Police Bureau Series

Author: Jae

Description

A sexy “ice queen” lawyer falls in love with the police officer trying to save her from a stalker in this lesbian age gap romance

For years, ambitious Deputy District Attorney Kade Matheson has taken case files and law books, not lovers, to bed, ignoring her personal life in favor of her career. When she finds herself with a stalker, she tries to handle the situation the way she always does: on her own.

Lieutenant Del Vasquez has admired the standoffish lawyer for a while, and she’s determined to protect her at all costs.

When Kade’s stalker situation escalates and she and Del have to hide at her mother’s, Kade is finally forced to face her attraction to women for the very first time.

Suddenly, she’s no longer sure which one is more dangerous—the threat to her life or to her heart?

    Dawn and Aiden Part Two

While this is a follow up to Conflict of Interest it is also a perfect stand alone. Months have passed since the trial that put Dawn’s attacker away. She and Aiden are still getting used to being a couple. Aiden is having some serious self doubts. In the mean time Del has decided to pursue DDA Kade even though Kade has never been involved with a woman. Suddenly Kade has more than one admirer and this one wont play nice. To make matters worse Dawn’s new client has ties to Aiden and Dawn, ties that no one is sure what to do with.

I love a series where the main characters in the previous book play a part in the sequel. After reading Conflict I wondered what would happen to these women. I was so grateful to be reunited with them.

I liked the new twists in this book. There were three main storyline in this saga, separate yet intertwining. Each of them interesting and intriguing. I loved watching all three unfold and play out. I liked watching all of these amazing women struggle to overcome their insecurities and emotions.

Jae writes beautifully and it was not long before I was totally immersed into the book and reality slipped away. I was happily lost for hours without realizing it. She is so descriptive and writes on such an emotional level that you could not help but to become involved with the character’s lives and care deeply for them. There is a part three and I am so excited about it!
    Thank you Jae.
