Book in the Punk Series

Author: JD Glass

Description

Fran has it all, or so it seems. A scholarship for a pending law degree, a wealthy family, and the promise of a job when it’s all said and done.

But she also has a secret.

She is a member of the Circle, an order sworn to fight the Darkness in its many forms. Fran is bound by her oath and her blood. And by her love for the Wielder, the centre of the Circle’s power.

Until the day comes when she must choose between love or the greatest good – not just for her, but for everyone.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I love this author. I love her style and the way her writing flows. This book is basically about Fran and Nina the two lead characters. Fran finds Nina after five years all the time thinking Nina is dead. But something told her to keep looking. Well, it paid off … Nina is alive.

Fran is extremely protective of Nina. Nina is very giving, for someone who was so badly treated by her parents she is also very trusting. The book has a supernatural/paranormal element to it. It is called the circle. You do not get a lot of information but there is enough to interest you. This book can be read as a stand-alone book but I would advise you not too as the first two books explain a lot. Well Punk Like Me gives you the main characters childhoods and First Blood introduces you to the Circle.

If you like sex scenes and I mean the physicality of them then this isn’t something you wouldn’t probably enjoy. Although Glass leaves you with no doubt what is happening she deals more with the emotional side. She go’s deeply into feelings and possibilities.

As I have said before I do love this author. But I find you either love or hate her. Her Books are not for everyone. I would definitely recommend her if you want something way off the beaten track.
